Pacific Beach confrontation cases — San Diego, CA (2021–2024)

Summary
In a rare instance where prosecutors framed defendants as part of an “Antifa conspiracy,” a California court issued jail sentences after violent confrontations in Pacific Beach. Labeling was contested; charges centered on assault and conspiracy.

Brian Cortez Lightfoot Jr. — also tried and convicted; prosecutors alleged multiple counts including conspiracy, use of tear gas.

Alexander Akridgejacobs, Christian Martinez, Ruchelle Ogden, Bryan Rivera, Faraz Martin Talab, Joseph Austin Gaskins — these were among the eight defendants sentenced (some by guilty plea) with sentences ranging from 180 days to two years.
